Golf Physical Therapy
Improve golf performance by reducing pain. We play golf ourselves and know the demands of the sport.
How PT can help golfers improve their game
Our detail-oriented Physical Therapist can assess your readiness to play golf and what your injury risk might be through a thorough physical exam including strength measurements, flexibility testing, and swing mechanics.
Once the assessment is finished you will have a full plan of care prescribed to you to tackle each one of the possible areas for improvement.
Many golfers struggle with hip flexibility and thoracic spine mobility which can limit their ability to complete a full backswing and ultimately decrease their potential yardage off the tee. With a thorough assessment and plan of care from our Doctor of Physical Therapy you will have the tools you need to play your best on the course and feel your best wherever you are.

TPI Physical and Golf Swing Analysis
At Pinnacle we utilize the principles taught by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) when working with our golfers. We thoroughly examine every golfer’s movement quality, paying extra attention to any mobility or strength deficits that could be limiting their swing quality. Limitations in mobility or strength could result in poor swing characteristics that can have a negative impact on your game.
This is called the Body-Swing Connection and it was developed almost 2 decades ago and has been tested on over 100,000 golfers. 47 out of the top 50 golfers in the world use a TPI professional to keep them playing at a high level!
By understanding the physical limitations of your body and how they relate to your swing, we are able to develop a plan to address these limitations. We work alongside your swing coach to maximize your performance.
Our golf performance assessment may include:
- 16-point Titleist Performance Institute Physical Assessment
- Strength and power assessment as it relates to your golf swing
- Review of your swing analysis to find correlations with the physical assessment

Golf Specific Mobility, Power, and Strength Training
To truly develop more distance and control we must understand that what we do in the gym will have an effect on our performance. Golfers have unique needs for strength, mobility, and power.
Efficient and powerful golf swings require upper and lower body separation, rotational power, and core stability. All of these factors need to be working together effectively to produce a powerful golf swing.
At Pinnacle we help our golfers understand the golf swing mechanics and optimize their physical characteristics so when they step up to the tee they can have confidence in their shot.
All of our training programs are individualized, based on the client’s unique needs and goals, and include:
- Mobility for a free-flowing swing
- Stability to connect the lower body and core
- Strength to maximize distance
- Endurance to maintain mechanics and performance throughout the round
